LCAD’s Fine Arts department offers entering students an immersive artistic experience, providing a strong foundation in representational drawing, painting, and sculpture, with a focus on figuration. Our courses foster experimentation with materials and exploration of individual ideas and interests, helping students to expand their visual language and develop a unique body of work. The department offers a BFA in Drawing and Painting, as well as emphasis options in Illustration and Sculpture. Our faculty includes accomplished, nationally and internationally recognized artists who are dedicated to mentoring students to succeed in the diverse world of visual arts.
