Amanda Fisher
MFA Game Design
Hi there! I'm Amanda, and I've worked as a 3D artist in the game industry with over 10 years of industry experience and 9 years of teaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level. I'm currently a full-time professor at the Laguna College of Art + Design for the Game Art BFA program, and continue to work part-time in the game industry. During my career, I thrive on taking everything I learn from my past and current industry and bring that knowledge to the classroom to enrich the new generation of game artists! The pursuit of my Masters of Fine Arts degree in Game Design has bolstered what I do and what I know, and will help me take teaching even further and provide even more for my students.
My thesis project, Young Aquarist, is a virtual experience that aims to nurture the foundation of prosocial middle-childhood behavioral and psychological development. Simply put, it is a virtual pet game that encourages the development of empathy, confidence, and responsibility while taking care of your fish friends!
